Manager, Talent Acquisition & Compensation

Location: Remote USA – Working hours are Eastern Time Zone with some flexibility

Health In Tech (HIT) is reimagining and simplifying the way self-funded health plans are designed, priced, and packaged for small to mid-sized companies. We are a fast-growing company combining the expertise of software developers, reinsurance specialists, insurance administrators and health-care providers to challenge the high-cost of health insurance for businesses and dramatically simplify the buying process.

 

Summary:

The Manager, Talent Acquisition & Compensation is a dual-role responsible for designing and executing strategies to attract top talent and manage market-aligned compensation programs. This role will ensure we hire, retain, and reward top performers in the industry.

 

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Talent Acquisition – 70%

  • Manages all sourcing and screening of candidates by promoting company’s mission and culture to attract talent.
  • Partners with hiring managers to forecast needs, define job requirements and build proactive sourcing strategies.
  • Develops job descriptions in collaboration with hiring managers that reflect role needs and regulatory standards (e.g. HIPAA, FDA roles).
  • Leverages recruiting tools like LinkedIn, Indeed, Hired to enhance sourcing efficiency.
  • Standardizes and continuously improves interview processes to ensure consistency, fairness and efficiency.
  • Ensures fair and unbiased hiring practices, especially under pay transparency and diversity requirements.
  • Serves as a strategic advisor to hiring managers on market trends, compensation benchmarks, and talent availability.

Compensation – 30%

  • Under the direction of the HR Leader – designs, implements and manages compensation frameworks, including base pay, incentive programs and salary structures.
  • Conducts job evaluations and market benchmarking to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
  • Advises business leaders on compensation decisions for offers and promotions.
  • Ensures compliance with compensation related regulations (e.g. FLSA, pay transparency laws).
  • Performs other tasks assigned.

 

Requirements

  • 5-7 years in talent acquisition and 2 of those years in compensation.
  • Experience in a high-growth tech organization highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with HR tools (Indeed, LinkedIn Recruiter)
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and project management abilities.

 

Salary ranges from – $63k/yr. – $125k/yr.
