Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

Position Summary
The Senior Software Engineer will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining core components of our benefits platform. This role is both hands-on and collaborative, requiring strong technical expertise, ownership of complex engineering projects, and the ability to work across teams. You will influence technical direction, drive best practices, and help evolve our architecture as we scale.

Key Responsibilities
Software Design & Development
Architect, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable backend and/or frontend systems.
Build APIs, microservices, and integrations that support health insurance benefits workflows.
Implement robust, secure solutions aligned with healthcare compliance requirements (HIPAA, SOC 2, etc.).
Optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability in a cloud-native environment.
Technical Leadership & Collaboration
Lead technical design discussions, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, promoting best engineering practices.
Work closely with product management, data engineering, QA, and UX teams to ship high-impact features.
Contribute to the evolution of engineering standards, tooling, and CI/CD pipelines.
Innovation & Problem-Solving
Translate complex health benefits requirements into elegant technical solutions.
Identify opportunities to automate processes, improve system quality, and enhance
user experience.
Support migration efforts, modernization, and the adoption of new technologies
where appropriate.

Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent
experience).
• 5–8+ years of professional software engineering experience in a production
environment.
• Strong proficiency with one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Java, C#,
Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go).
• Hands-on development experience in Next.JS, React, Angular Frameworks, Django
Framework, GraphQL, PostGRESql database
• Experience building cloud-native solutions using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL,
MongoDB).
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices and data privacy.
Preferred:
• Experience in the health insurance, healthcare tech, or benefits management
sector.
• Familiarity with data standards such as EDI 834/837, FHIR, or claims processing
workflows.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience working on distributed systems or high-availability platforms.
• Exposure to AI-powered or analytics-driven product features.
•Ability to multi-task and be part of multiple projects at the same time.
